Description
Daily was created in order to spread positivity and raise awareness about diabetes. Our program shows people living with diabetes that it´s possible to live a healthy lifestyle,
and we convey this message in a fun way.
Martu came up with the idea for Daily during a videogame workshop project for Puerta 18. I (Luca) joined the project later, I thought it was an excellent idea from the start.
As someone who lives with diabetes, I fund that people are quite misinformed about it. Sometimes they know the diesease by name, but don´t know what it entails, or how to help if necessary. I´ve also met people who believe it´s terminal and disabling, or were afraid of it. In extreme cases, people even gave it negative connotations, when that is not the reality.
Through Daily, we are trying to reframe the way diabetes is seen.
For me, it has been a great experience carrying out this initative Martu.
Daily explores what a normal day in the life of a diabetic is like. We are put into the shoes of the diabetic, and the game changes its course depending on the decisions we make.
The first scene is about the beginning of the day.
It`s time for breakfast! It gives us three options
breakfast, and we must choose one of the three.
The second scene is based in the gym.
We must do an activity, and again we have three options to choose from.
In the third and final scene, we meet at our best friend's birthday.
She arrives in time for cake, and we have 3 options available.
When we finish the game, it shows us a message.
