This is the second half of a song that I independantly wrote, produced, sang and mixed. It is the lead single for a concept album I just released a month ago because it really sets the scene for the story that the album tells. In a nutshell, the album follows a story between a two teenagers, one struggling with substance addiction and the other confused and concerned. This song specifically is the second song on the album. It is a song that describes how addiction may appear to someone of a young age at first glance. The ethereal vocals and production paired with the descriptive lyrics present the narrator's first view on addiction to be something fascinating yet scary. As the album continues, and the narrator starts to witness the darkness of addiction in the life of someone she loved, she sees it as less fascinating and a lot more scary. However, "nothing" is an example of the dangerous innocence and cluelessness many younger people have. Addiction is an important issue to me because it is something some of my loved ones have experienced, and I have seen how it can change them. I think that it is very scary because it feels like something I have no control over. However, making music in hopes that it could maybe help one person a little bit with whatever they're struggling with gives me a little more faith.

I have no words, this is such an incredible song. I can hear the raw emotion inside of your voice and the music. This song moved me and created a lot of emotions for me.
