This song was made by Taua Falaniko. At 10 years old, she written this song after coming out of New Zealand's covid lockdown in 2020. Like many of us around the world, Taua shared her uncertainty and excitement to reunite with her friends. "I missed going to school to learn, see my friends, teachers and community." This is the result. Written and performed by Taua Falaniko.

This song and video was made to raise awareness to racial injustice and encourage people to take tangible action against police brutality. I wrote and produced the song, as well as performing all of the vocals. The video was directed, filmed, and edited by Martaize Smith who is another member of the Hope Community Best Buy Teen Tech Center. Highest Quality version of the video can be viewed using the link below.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4eftTx56CA

This poem is based off of police brutality and quarantine. I combined these two together because I felt like they could be connected in a way. For example, this line There’s Nowhere to hide, nowhere to run.” When police stop you can hide or run and in quarantine you are trapped with your mind
