    'Driving By' by Taua Falaniko

This song was made by Taua Falaniko. At 10 years old, she written this song after coming out of New Zealand's covid lockdown in 2020. Like many of us around the world, Taua shared her uncertainty and excitement to reunite with her friends. "I missed going to school to learn, see my friends, teachers and community." This is the result. Written and performed by Taua Falaniko.

The inspiration for this song was the spotlight on the BLM movement. The song was made to show the world that BLM is forever and not just a 2020 thing.

In the midst of all darkness.

This poem is based off of police brutality and quarantine. I combined these two together because I felt like they could be connected in a way. For example, this line There’s Nowhere to hide, nowhere to run.” When police stop you can hide or run and in quarantine you are trapped with your mind
