Winter Afternoon

Description

In this drawing, I’ve depicted a typical, perfect winter’s afternoon, when I’m sitting on the sofa with a cup of tea, watching tv with my cats.
The decorations reflect my tastes to some extent, and I chose the colour palette with the aim of creating a scene with a comforting feel, as well as because I find them pleasing to the eye: soft, greyish colours with darker shades, set against a dark backdrop, as the only light in the room comes from the tv.
For the line art, I used a straightforward brush, whilst for the colouring I used one with more texture, which softened some parts slightly.
