This song was written by my friend Dennis Duran and me. I played bass and Dennis played guitar. The lyrics were based on a personal story. We kept the lyrics intentionally vague to not identify anyone and for poetic purposes. Some of our inspirations are the band Tool, and Perfect Daughter by The Warning, a song about the challenges women face in the music industry, as well as The Sparrow by Mastadon. Some of Dennis' influences were Beautifully Depressed by Down, and Bridge to Cross by Black Label Society.
Lyrics:
Chorus
Where do we go from here
Why do we live in fear
Where do we go from here
Verse 1
You should be careful how you are in front of another
Your influence is stronger than you know
Somebody can be mirroring your actions as you go
Verse 2
Frustrated with the memories you inflicted in my head
But I choose not to hold a grudge
Forgive then forget
